CIRCULAR
ECONOMY

Impact > Circular Economy

Steel, cement, aggregates and sand are the major bulk materials used in our operations. We consistently strive to increase the use of sustainable and eco-friendly materials such as fly ash and Ground Granulated Blast Furnace (GGBS).
At our Earth Acres' production facilities, located at Visakhapatnam, sustained efforts are being made to recycle steel and zinc that are consumed in the operations. We actively promote and maximise the use of such materials for various applications across construction projects.

The efficient use of resources requires systems that consider materials beyond their initial purpose. Earth Acres works across resource recovery, material reuse and circular supply chains to improve how materials are sourced, utilised, processed and reintegrated into productive applications.

The focus extends across the material lifecycle, from identifying recoverable resources and improving material utilisation to establishing pathways for recycling, reuse and secondary material production.

By connecting material recovery with industrial processes, infrastructure and supply chains, Earth Acres aims to make circular resource practices more practical, commercially relevant and scalable.

The approach recognises that waste is not simply an end product, but a potential resource that can be recovered, processed and returned to the economy through appropriate systems and applications.

Better systems. Smarter resource use. Long-term resilience.

RECYCLING AND REUSING WASTE

Concrete waste generated during infrastructure and civil construction activities can be recovered and processed at the project site for reuse in suitable applications. Through its work in resource recovery and circular material systems, Earth Acres supports the adoption of on-site recycling and material recovery practices that help divert construction waste from landfills, reduce off-site transportation requirements and limit the consumption of premitive natural resources. These approaches also contribute to better site utilisation, improved material efficiency and a lower environmental impact associated with conventional waste disposal.

WASTE MANAGEMENT

Waste management is an important component of responsible resource use, particularly across infrastructure, construction, manufacturing and industrial operations, where significant volumes of waste can be generated. Earth Acres approaches waste management through practical systems that prioritise waste reduction, material recovery, reuse and recycling, with the objective of minimising disposal and improving resource efficiency.

The approach is guided by the principles of Reduce, Reuse and Recycle (3R), with emphasis on identifying waste streams at source, improving material segregation and creating opportunities for recovered materials to return to productive use.

Waste management practices are considered in relation to project requirements, operational processes and applicable environmental regulations.

Depending on the nature and scale of the activity, these practices can be integrated into project-level and site-specific management procedures.

Key processes include:

  • Identification and assessment of waste streams

  • Quantification and segregation of waste at source

  • Appropriate collection, handling and temporary storage

  • Recovery, reuse and recycling of suitable materials

  • Responsible treatment and disposal of residual waste

  • Monitoring of waste generation and material recovery

Our Framework

The Circular Resource System

  1. Resource Identification – Identifying material inputs, consumption patterns, waste streams and opportunities for recovery.

  2. Collection & Segregation – Establishing systems to collect, classify and separate materials according to their composition and potential applications.

  3. Processing & Recovery – Preparing recovered materials through appropriate recycling, treatment and processing methods.

  4. Reuse & Reintegration – Returning recovered materials to manufacturing, construction, agriculture and other productive applications.

  5. Supply Chain Integration – Connecting recovery and reuse processes with procurement, production, distribution and logistics.

Building supply chain systems that enable materials to be recovered, recirculated and reintegrated into production and distribution networks.

Circular Supply Chains

Identifying and integrating materials with lower environmental impact, responsible sourcing and improved lifecycle performance across applications.

Sustainable Materials

Creating processes that convert waste streams into usable materials, secondary resources and productive outputs.

Waste-to-Resource Systems

Developing systems to collect, process and recover discarded materials for reuse in productive applications, reducing waste and demand for primitive resources.
